Founded in 1995, Bridge the Gap College Prep’s (BTGCP) overarching goal for the past 25 years has been to bring educational equity and opportunity to the youths in Marin City. Today, BTGCP continues to inspire and support over 270 students who are primarily youth of color from a variety of ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. The organization provides after school enrichment programs for K-12 students, and guides them on their journey from Kindergarten all the way to, and through, college.
BTGCP’s programs prioritize academic progress and emotional wellbeing, and strives to equip students with the skills they’ll need to succeed in school and in life. In addition to the guidance of BTGCP dedicated teachers, BTGCP delivers wrap-around support that involves close
collaboration with their schools, families and volunteer tutors.

The Development and Communications Director envisions and implements a targeted fundraising plan to include the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors to meet planned revenue benchmarks through a variety of giving opportunities, including events. The Director supervises the Development Manager who is responsible for processing gifts, planning the logistics of events and Salesforce database administration. The Director serves as a key spokesperson and advocate of BTGCP. The Director develops and coordinates all of the organization’s communications to support the overall development goals and objectives, as well as the efficiency, community position, and overall culture of the organization. The Director reports to the Executive Director.
